Mementos Multimedia grew from a seed that was planted shortly after my dad died. I wanted to honor him the best way I could, and thankfully my background in journalism and photo and video editing gave me the skills to do so. Thus, I wrote my dad an obit story and created a memorial video with a beautiful song, a couple of his voicemails, and photographs from his life. 

My education in the written and visual arts started at Columbia College Chicago. From there, I honed and added to my skillset while working as a newspaper reporter. Afterward, I transitioned to a career in communications and marketing where I regularly produced videos for ceremonies and memorials. Working on these projects, I’ve discovered my ability to make people feel, both through writing and videography. I also worked on a large recruiting campaign for my employer, which helped me discover I really enjoy portrait photography and editing photographs.
